Elcimaï Delivers a Production Facility to Adopt Parfums in Château-Renard (45)
Adopt Parfums, a perfume creator for 40 years, has developed a line of about 100 high-quality fragrances that are exclusively designed and manufactured in France. To keep pace with its growth, Adopt Parfums sought to establish a new production facility to replace its previous one, which could no longer support the brand’s expansion. To this end, the company asked Elcimaï—a specialist in the cosmetics industry, including perfumery—to conduct an audit and a feasibility study prior to purchasing a facility that had been in operation since the 1970s. This site belongs to the Pierre Fabre Group and had been inactive for over a year. Located in Château-Renard (45), it was acquired by Adopt Parfums in January 2023 with the aim of integrating its production processes there.
CONSTRUCTION TO BEGIN IN FEBRUARY 2023
Elcimaï was then commissioned by the manufacturer to redesign and renovate the site, which comprises nearly 9,000 m² of buildings. The goal was both to meet the group’s ambitious environmental commitments and to maintain the high standards required for perfume manufacturing.
Construction began the following month, in February 2023, and proceeded on a tight schedule while production continued. The first phase was delivered in May 2023, followed by a second phase covering the building and production processes in February 2024 ; the final phase, covering the end of the production process, was completed this August. Adopt Parfums now has a new production facility capable of supporting its growth and perfectly meeting the demands of a cutting-edge and socially responsible industry.
Supporting the brand’s growth in France and internationally
“We had reached the end of a cycle that threatened to slow our growth in perfume production. We therefore entrusted Elcimaï with an ambitious project, particularly regarding timelines and processes. Our goal was to launch an industrial operation capable of supporting the brand’s strong growth in France and internationally,” emphasizes David Gaudicheau, CEO of Adopt Parfums. “The firm’s expertise and technical contributions, supported by Adopt Parfums’ in-house teams, were undeniable, both in terms of meeting deadlines and staying within budget. This project went off without a hitch. We are therefore delighted with this collaboration.”
“Drawing on their experience in the cosmetics industry, the teams at Elcimaï oversaw all operations, including the preparation of ICPE filings. “We provided technical support for the aspects that are typically the operator’s responsibility,” explains Olivier Fourn, business unit manager at Elcimaï Ingénierie. “Adopt Parfums is delighted to have a fully operational, environmentally friendly facility.”
For its part, the municipality of Château-Renard welcomes the continued presence of an industrial facility in its area, as the site is expected to create more than 150 jobs over time.
