Elcimaï, an Infor partner, is supporting EJ in Europe with the implementation of the Infor M3 Cloud solution.
Infor announces that EJ, a global leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of access solutions for water, sewer, drainage, telecommunications, and utility networks, has chosen to implement the Infor M3 cloud solution as part of an ambitious project to overhaul its IT infrastructure on a global scale.
The company, which employs more than 2,500 people worldwide and has production sites in Europe, the United States, and Australia, has made a series of acquisitions over the past few decades. It has also built new state-of-the-art factories over the past three years. EJ’s growth is now supported by Infor M3 ERP in a private cloud, which provides the manufacturer with numerous features tailored to the industrial manufacturing sector—without the need for complex, costly, and time-consuming custom development.
The Infor solution replaced the legacy systems in place, which were no longer suited to the production processes of modern companies seeking agility and optimization of their production costs. Widely adopted globally at the initiative of the group’s French entity, Infor M3 won over users with its ability to meet the industrial manufacturer’s business requirements in standard mode.
“Given that EJ’s sites in the United States did not have an ERP system suited to the company’s future needs and that we, on our end, had experience with Movex (the name of the previous version of Infor M3) for which we held licenses, the decision was made fairly quickly,” states Gérard Doucet, Director of Information Systems for EMEA at EJ. “For cost reasons and, particularly when compared to other major market players we also evaluated, due to its lower complexity thanks to the standard’s rich functionality, we opted for Infor M3 and a private cloud deployment. This allows us to work with complete freedom without being subject to the time and process constraints in effect in the United States, with 24/7 availability,” adds Gérard Doucet.
As Infor’s partner on the project in Europe, the Elcimaï Group continues to support the client in implementing the solution.
