GIRUS GE helps healthcare facilities manage their waste

GIRUS GE has been selected by the GIP Réseau des acheteurs hospitaliers (Resah) to assist healthcare and medical-social facilities with the management of their waste, through a framework agreement that allows Resah, acting as a central purchasing body, to procure expert consulting services.

For 35 years, GIRUS GE has been developing its expertise in consulting and engineering for the construction of infrastructure in the environmental sector, specifically in waste management, energy management, and water management. GIRUS GE has also become a recognized partner of healthcare and medical-social facilities, supporting them with functional assessments, waste management optimization, consolidation platform sizing, procurement, training, and communication tools.

As a result, it was selected by the GIP Réseau des acheteurs hospitaliers (Resah) to assist healthcare and medical-social facilities in optimizing their waste management. Thanks to this new contract, healthcare and medical-social facilities that wish to do so will be able to use Resah’s central purchasing office to benefit from consulting services and expertise provided by GIRUS GE in the area of waste management.

GIRUS GE has mobilized lead engineers in this field, as well as technical and environmental engineers and legal experts, organized internally based on lessons learned from previous projects.

GIRUS GE has assessed the technical, environmental, and economic challenges facing healthcare facilities and approaches this mission with the goal of ensuring it is not only operational and tailored to each site, but also that it facilitates communication and coordination within the network.

The project focuses on four main areas of choice :

• Audit of waste management services,
• Development of optimization scenarios,
• Support and oversight of implementation,
• Support for the selection of a service provider.
