The consortium led by ELCIMAI Environnement developed a harmonized method for monitoring waste from economic activities at the regional level on behalf of ADEME.

The development of the circular economy relies in particular on a better understanding of waste from economic activities (WEA). Indeed, this waste represents significant resources and major challenges in terms of reduction at the source and recovery.

However, regional councils and their local observatories, which now incorporate DAE into the planning of local circular economy policies, previously lacked a harmonized monitoring method.

ELCIMAI Environnement and In Numeri developed this guide on behalf of ADEME, which proposes a harmonized method for monitoring waste from economic activities, accompanied by downloadable method sheets and tools.

This method was developed through extensive consultation with all stakeholders, particularly the regional waste observatories.
